We built one life out of both.

He was raised on dirt roads and lake water. Four wheelers, fishing poles, feeding deer, most of the day outside and dark as the only reason to come in. I was raised on sidewalks and cul de sacs, with neighbors close enough to hear. Different starts. Same code. Work hard, tell the truth, take care of your people.

Then came two careers that asked for everything, and six kids who asked for more.

We could have let it get away from us. Plenty of good families do, and nobody blames them. What we held onto were small things, but we were stubborn about them. Showing up for the kids, even when it meant a late flight home. A little yes ma'am and yes sir. Chores done before anything fun. And dinner at the dining room table. Not the counter, not the car, not in front of the game.

In a lot of ways, that table is the whole of our company. The things that hold a family together are not complicated. They are just hard to keep front and center when life is pulling at you from every direction. So we hold steady to integrity, hard work, discipline and family, and most of all, to the freedom this beautiful country stands for.

Suburban Cowboy Supply Co. is for the people living the same way. Building something big, and holding on to the roots that got them there.
